Postpartum period
Your doula will visit at least once in the days and weeks following the birth. Debriefing the birth experience is an important part of her work and your journey.
She will be available for you and your husband to talk you through the challenges you may have as new parents. If you are having a hard time she may suggest you see professionals such as Osteopaths or Lactation Consultants, if needed. She may also suggest surrounding yourself with other new moms.
This kind of support is precious and timely.
YOUR BABYMOON: These first 4 to 8 weeks after birth are a major transition phase. It is a time of recuperating, getting to know each other and getting used to each other’s cues and rhythms.
